My time in Davis began in 1997 as an undergraduate student, where I received my B.S. degree in Psychology. While at UC Davis, I began working in community mental health, which lead to a ten year career in the field. I completed my M.S. in Counseling from Sacramento State with an emphasis in multicultural studies. In the mean time, I had two of my three children and overcame a serious illness. What I have found is that life is truly a unique experience for each individual, and my goal now is to help others on their path, whatever that may be.
I am certified in TF-CBT, and have seen the results that this evidence-based treatment approach has in children and adolescents who have experienced some form of trauma. I also have training in DBT, and enjoy using this approach as well.
I love to be outdoors, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy reading and cooking.
